THE POWER OF IMAGES
Until now, I thought that images were only a visual representation of a moment, object, or person, without considering the composition, lighting, elements, or meanings that made a photo special. In this subject, I have realized that images can inform and explain, make us imagine and feel. They are silent stories that go beyond language barriers.
I remember that in class, when observing this photograph, I thought that what I saw in it was a dog's paw on top of a human hand. However, now what I interpret is very different. The image conveys to me a feeling of connection, loyalty, and trust between the dog and the person. The fact that the dog's paw is on the human hand symbolizes protection, support, and companionship to me. Additionally, the black and white filter adds a sense of timelessness and emotional depth to the image, focusing on the relationship between the human and his/her pet beyond the visual distractions of color.
In conclusion, I think there is a power in images that invites us to explore and reflect, to immerse ourselves in visual worlds that challenge, inspire, and transform us. They remind us of art’s ability to move us and awaken our deepest emotions, offering us beauty and endless possible meanings.
